Delirium

Delirium is characterized by a rapid onset of impaired attention, environmental awareness, and cognitive function, typically developing within hours to a few days. It involves a diminished capacity to direct, focus, sustain, and shift attention. Additionally, individuals experience difficulty with orientation, language, and visuospatial skills. Cognitive symptoms often include memory deficits and disorientation.
